The apex court has sought responses based on a PIL seeking a CBI probe into Salian's charge.

As per a report in The Times of India a bench of Justices J Chelameswar and AM Sapre agreed to examine the PIL filed by social activist Harsh Mander.

Mandar reportedly met Salian on July 31 and discussed the matter with her.

The PIL has been filed through advocate Devadatta Kamat.

As per Mander, investigations had found that Malegaon and other attacks which he says was carried out on Muslim community members were handiwork of 'fascist organizations' and which were termed 'saffron terrorism by the media'.

Mander requested the apex court to set up a special investigation team so that it could probe Salian's allegations.

The SC bench has asked the respondents to file their affidavits within a week.

The court will examine the responses before entertaining Mander's plea.

Mandar has asked the court that the trial should be stopped and Salian's response sought.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister, as per the Daily, is yet to decide on Salian's removal as special public prosecutor from the Malegoan blast case.

Singh has reportedly asked the NIA to give specific reasons for the recommendation to denotify her.
