Now, the issues once again made headlines on Friday when a man was tonsured, garlanded with shoes and paraded on the streets as he had allegedly converted three Hindu men to Christianity and forcibly made them consume beef.

According to a report in TOI, some activists belonging to Bajrang Dal on Friday tonsured a man, garlanded him with shoes and paraded him on the streets of Orai district in Uttar Pradesh after they came to know that the man had 'converted' three Hindu men to Christianity and forcibly made them eat 'cow's meat'.

According to sources, a mob of nearly 200 men (alleged Bajrang Dal activists) reached the house of Awdhesh Savita at Randar in Jalaun district of UP and took him forcibly to Orai.

"Awdhesh was paraded after the Bajrang Dal members shaved off his hair, eyebrows and moustache," sources added.

The mob accused him of luring three Hindu men to a church on the pretext of attending a satsang and converting them to Christianity.

Three FIRs have been lodged in connection with the incident, however, no arrests have been made so far.
