A 60-year-old woman name Ramdulari stayed with her dead son for four days at her house in Delhi's Kali Bari Marg.


Her son Kapil (32) had fallen ill due to excessive drinking.


On Monday, some neighbours informed one of the woman's daughters about stench coming from the house, according to a report in TOI.


Ramdulari has told police that she had presumed that Kapil was sleeping. She didn't woke him up thinking that let him sleep.


Reportedly, Kapil rarely spoke to anyone else and was addicted to drinking. Ramdulari had been suffering from a mental disorder ever since her husband's death.


Kapil's body was handed over to the family on Tuesday after which they travelled to Haridwar for cremation.


When the Ramdulari's daughter arrived, she saw Kapil's decomposed body lying on bed.


Ramdulari and her son were staying at the ground floor of a central government flat. 


Her husband died a year ago. He used to work in the Indian Railways.


She has three daughters and all are married.
