New Delhi: With just a day to go before they appear before Delhi's Patiala House court in connection with National Herald case, the big question is whether Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi will apply for bail or choose to go to jail.

Reports suggest that intense rounds of meetings are going on in the Congress HQ over the strategy that needs to be adopted.


Earlier, there were indications that Sonia and Rahul Gandhi may not apply for bail and go to jail 'to prove their innocence'. Also, the party had reportedly planned a massive show of strength with all Congress CMs and other top leaders marching with the Congress president to the court.


However, the idea has reportedly been dropped as one section of the party think-tank feels that it will send out a wrong message to the judiciary.
