New Delhi: In a string of ambassadorial appointments, the government has named new envoys for South Korea, the Netherlands, Peru and Oman.

Vikram Doraiswami, an Indian Foreign Service officer of 1992 batch, and at present ambassador to Uzbekistan, has been appointed the next envoy to Seoul.

Sandeep Chakravorty, an IFS officer of 1996 batch and currently deputy high commissioner in Dhaka, has been appointed the envoy to Peru.

J.S. Mukul (IFS: 1981), the ambassador to Oman, has been appointed the next envoy to the Netherlands and will be succeeded by Indra Mani Pandey (IFS: 1990), currently the deputy chief of mission in Paris.

All are expected to take up their assignments shortly, the government announced in press statements.
