Jaipur: In another diktat of sorts, Muslims clerics of Kota have imposed a ban on DJs, loud music and wedding bands at Muslim weddings.

The clerics believe that such practices put financial burden on the poor.


As per a Pradesh18 report, though the Qazis of the state agree with what the clerics opine, they do not endorse the ban, stating it's a matter of personal choice.


Qazis said loud music is not good but an individual can't be denied the right, claims Pradesh18 report.


Further, in order to make sure that the ban is strictly implemented, the clerics said that no 'nikah' forms will be distributed to a cleric if he is found endorsing such weddings.
