Pakistan sent Geeta, India will send back Ramzan
Following the return of Geeta, there`s now hope for Pakistani boy Ramzan to finally go back to his home country and reunite with his mother in Karachi.
New Delhi/Bhopal: Following the return of speech and hearing impaired Geeta to India nearly 15 years after she accidently strayed into Pakistan, there's now hope for Pakistani boy Ramzan to finally go back to his home country and reunite with his mother in Karachi.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Indian government has begun re-assessing the case of 15-year-old Mohammad Ramzan who has been stranded in India for about two years.
As per details available, Ramzan entered into India from Bangladesh some four years ago after escaping from his allegedly abusive step-mother and father in Bangladesh, the Times of India said.

Ramzan's father had reportedly shifted to Bangladesh from Pakistan around five years ago and re-married there.
The Pakistani boy, who was caught in Bhopal in 2013 without valid papers, has been staying at a shelter in there since then.
Ansar Burney, a well-known Pakistani activist who played a key role in Geeta’s return to India, had recently launched a campaign to reunite Ramzan with his mother.
“I have sent a letter to the President of India with all the documents related to Ramzan. I am hoping that this time we will get success,” Hindustan Times quoted Ashutosh Shukla, consultant to the PMO, as saying.
According to Shukla, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has also decided to reopen Ramzan's file after the PMO write to it.
The MEA had earlier said that Ramzan's is a "closed file" with no documentary evidence to prove his Pakistani citizenship.
If Ramzan indeed goes back to Karachi and reunites with his mother, that will be a 'return gift' from India to Pakistan.
