News channel CNN News18 claims to have interviewed Ghulam Akbar, Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of the Mirpur Range in PoK where he is heard making the disclosure that 12 terrorists were killed in the commando operation by India.

As per the news channel, their reporter impersonated as the IG of the area while speaking to Akbar.

The deputy fell into the trap and blurted out that surgical strike was for real.

Akbar is heard saying that five Pakistani soldiers were killed in the operation - Nawaz Sharif told Pakistan Parliament that only two Pakistani soldiers were killed in a ceasefire violation by India.

The police officer said that he personally knew that Samana in Bhimber, Dudhniyal in Neelam , Hazira in Poonch, and Kayani in Hathian Bala were attacked on the night of September 29.

He added that the Pakistani Army had cordoned off all these areas immediately after the surgical strikes and took the bodies away. Some others, possibly terrorists, were buried in the villages, he added.

It is important note here that Akbar's testimony matches exactly with the statement read out by Indian Director-General of Military Operations Lt General Ranbir Singh on September 30.

The additional information is about the number of causalities on the Pakistani side. The Indian Army and the government has not given any details about the number of terrorists killed in the strikes.

Adding to the shame for Pakistan, Akbar also confirmed that it was the Pakistani Army that brings terrorists to the area and arranges for their crossing into the other side of the LoC.
