Jammu: In an unfortunate incident, a pilgrim died on Monday on his way to Vaishno Devi shrine.
Reportedly, he died due to a heart attack.
The incident took place in Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
What happened actually?
Narinder Chandhavat, a 76-year-old resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, fell unconscious near Tripti Bhojnaliya en route the cave shrine and was shifted to a nearby dispensary, a police officer said.
The doctors at the dispensary declared him as brought dead and the apparent cause of death seems to be heart attack, he said.
A case has been registered, he said.
