"My good wishes to you all on Bastille Day. Democracy and common values bring India and France together. From the land to the skies, from the sea to space, the scale and extent of our cooperation is very wide," Prime Minister Modi said on Twitter.

"In April, I visited France and achieved substantial progress in taking our ties even further ahead.

The future of our ties is bright and together, we can contribute in making the world more peaceful, secure and prosperous," he added.

France observes July 14 as their National day, also known as Bastille Day, which marks the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789.
