Apparently taking a dig at PM Modi's visit, the BJP ally Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece 'Saamna' said that political careers of those politicians who visited Pakistan ended soon after; be it LK Advani or Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

According to a report in CNN-IBN, the Shiv Sena said, "We hope Modi is not taken for a ride like Atal Bihari Vajpayee."

Shiv Sena had attacked PM Modi's surprise visit to Pakistan and asked him to apologise to the nation for taking such step.

Modi had stayed for over two hours in Lahore on his way back home from Afghanistan on Dec 25 during which he held talks with Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind house.
