Swamy, a newly-nominated Rajya Sabha MP, on Thursday took an aim at the RBI Governor saying he is not favourable for the country.

“I believe the RBI Governor is not favourable for our country,” Swamy said in the Parliament complex.

He believes Rajan's move to raise interest rates has hurt the country.

“The way he has raised interest rates saying that inflation will be curbed, the country has suffered because of this,” he said.

“This has led to an increase in unemployment. The sooner he can be relieved of his duties and sent to Chicago, the better,” Swamy added.
