Sudhir Pratap Singh named new NSG chief, OP Singh CISF DG
Sudhir Pratap Singh, a 1983 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, is ADG, Central Reserve Police Force.
New Delhi: Senior IPS officers Sudhir Pratap Singh and OP Singh were on Friday appointed as Directors General of counter-terrorism force National Security Guard (NSG) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) respectively.
OP Singh, a 1983-batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, is at present working as Director General of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
Another senior IPS officer RK Pachnanda has been appointed in place of OP Singh.
Pachanada is currently working as Additional Director General (ADG) in CISF.
Sudhir Pratap Singh, a 1983 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, is ADG, Central Reserve Police Force.
The CISF is entrusted with responsibility of providing security to national installations including airports.
