Terror suspect Sameer Sardana granted bail by Goa court
Sardana was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 10,000, he will also have to surrender his passport.
Panaji: With the investigating agencies not reaching at any conclusion, terror suspect Sameer Sardana was granted conditional bail by a court on Thursday.
44-year-old Sardana was granted bail by a Vasco court on a personal bond of Rs10,000 and surety of like amount. He will have to surrender his passport as well.
Son of a retired senior Army officer, Sardana was arrested on February 3 after after he was found loitering suspiciously at Vasco Railway Station and, reportedly, gathering information about bomb blasts in the country.
The Goa ATS cracked the password of his laptop and accessed the emails and documents but did not find any thing incriminating, reports said.
Hailing from Dehradun, Sardana is based in Mumbai and has worked for MNC firms like Accenture with postings in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, the official said.
