"Congress is making uncharitable comments calling central minister a criminal saying that she must go to jail, immature statement. I am not able to understand. I don't want to join issue because my point is the entire country is watching. Who is responsible for this?" Naidu asked.

"Let them come back to Parliament, Let us discuss a lot of business, a lot of issues (have) to be discussed and debated ," he added.

Naidu said that the government is making all efforts to ensure that the parliamentary proceedings take place without any disruption.

"It's adjourned because of the Congress Party. It's not adjourned because of other parties..It should go to their credit. From our side, I have been trying as the Parliamentary Affair Minister. I have been talking to the people, I had meeting also with all the opposition party on the very first day," Naidu told the media here.

"I told them the government is ready to discuss every issue, each issue. And not only that, even in the House also; the Leader of the House Rajya Sabha and Parliamentary Affair Minister, both of us said very categorically any issue you want to discuss, discuss it as per the rules. And then in Rajya Sabha, we went one step ahead and said you want to suspend the business, come on start with the debate. What is their problem? I am not able to understand." he added.

Naidu further said even External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had expressed her willingness to make a statement in the House.

"Then they wanted Sushma Swaraj should speak, Sushma Swaraj ji met the Speaker on the day one and said that she is willing to make a statement, in the beginning itself or ready to answer the question on 193. Today also she said somebody has given notice on 193 and she has given her consent also to give reply," he said.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had yesterday defended his party's decision to block the Parliament from functioning over scandals linked to the BJP leaders.

"What we have said is that (there will be) no discussion without resignation. Sushma Swaraj has done a criminal act," he said.

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till Monday and the Rajya Sabha till 2.30 pm today on the Lalit Modi episode amid opposition's continued demand for the resignation of top BJP leaders, including External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj .

The opposition has been continuously raising the issue since the Monsoon Session began on Tuesday. Both the Houses have been witnessing repeated adjournments amid noisy scenes for the fourth day consecutively.
