New Delhi: Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, who is on a visit to Paris to take part in a global meet on transport, on Monday accused Air France of "irresponsible behaviour" for cancellation of his confirmed booking at the eleventh hour due to which he had to travel nearly 600 kms by road amid heavy rains.

"Air France's irresponsible behaviour. Cancels confirmed booking at the 11th hour. Forced to drive down 600 kms overnight in heavy downpour to reach Bordeaux for International Conference on Intelligent Transport Systems," Naidu said on Twitter.




In another tweet, he said France's Minister for Transport and Shipping Alain Vidales "apologised for the inconvenience caused and said would get the matter inquired into".



Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Naidu is on a visit to France to take part in an event on 'Towards Intelligent Transport System?Better Use of Space' from October 5 to October 9.


The event, part of the 2015 World Conference on Intelligent Transport System, serves as a platform for exchange of latest developments with governments, businesses and various other stakeholders.
