New Delhi/Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday arrive in Rishikesh to meet his guru, who as been indisposed for some time.

Modi will spend around 40 minutes with Swami Dayanand Giri at his ashram in Sheeshamjhadi area of Rishikesh.


Modi personally knows Swami Dayanand Giri and would pay him a visit as the latter is not keeping well for some time now.


The PM will also meditate on banks of River Ganges.


This would be Modi's first visit to Uttarakhand after assuming Prime Minister's office. He had last visited the state while campaigning for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
