New Delhi: Thousands of passengers were stranded on Friday as 42 trains were delayed and four cancelled due to dense fog in parts of north India.
According to a Northern Railway official, the Lichchvi Express was running 31 hours behind schedule, the Bhubaneshwar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express was running 22 hours behind and the 12501 Poorottar Express was 31 hours late.
The official also said that at least eight trains running on Friday were reschudeled.
Meanwhile, according to the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which manages operations at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport here, no flight was cancelled on Friday.
