New Delhi: Out on bail, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar is being guarded by his friends and well-wishers.
According to reports, he is also frequently changing his locations due to security reasons. Kanhaiya Kumar was surrounded by his close friends, who formed a human chain around him, during the press conference on Friday. People close to the JNUSU president tell that unknown persons are not allowed go near him.
Following the attack on him at Patiala House court, Kanhaiya's friend's are worried about his security.
The 29-year-old, who was residing in Brahmaputra hostel in the university campus, did not go to his room after release from jail. According to a report in Bhaskar.com, Kanhaiya was taken to a professor's house. Since then his aides are maintaining secrecy about his location.
Jailed on sedition charges, Kanhaiya Kumar was released on bail on Thursday evening. After spending almost three weeks behind the bars, Kumar was granted bail by Delhi High Court on conditions that he will refrain from participating in anti-national activity in or outside the university campus.
The court also asked him to file a surety of Rs 10,000.
