Chennai (Karnataka): As Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa remains critical after she suffered cardiac arrest on Sunday, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday temporarily stopped the bus services to Tamil Nadu.

The bus services were stopped after an incident of stone pelting on their bus near Tiruvannamalai.


Meanwhile, with the streets of Chennai thronging with anxious people.


The state traffic police has blocked all roads lead to Apollo hospital where she is currently admitted to avoid traffic congestion.


There is heavy police deployment outside the Apollo hospital. 


Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is on high alert after Jayalalithaa suffered cardiac arrest last evening.


Security has been stepped up across the city to attend any eventuality and buses plying out of Chennai have been reduced tonight and security in the capital has been tightened.


Earlier, Chief Operating Officer of Apollo Hospital Dr Subbaiah Viswanathan said Jayalalithaa suffered a cardiac arrest yesterday evening and she is being treated and monitored by a team of experts and critical care specialists.Apollo Hospital`s Joint Managing Director Sangita Reddy in a tweet last night said the Chief Minister is critical and a multi specialty team is trying everything possible. 


Jayalalithaa was hospitalised on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.
