30 killed in rain-related mishaps in Thane this monsoon
As many as 30 people have lost their lives and four others were still missing from the district in various mishaps during this monsoon season.

The number of deceased include those killed in two major building collapses in powerloom town of Bhiwandi, according to an official release issued today by the district administration.
It also mentioned that this monsoon season, the district received 2,262.71 mm rain so far.
A total of 40 villages in six talukas of Thane were affected on account of heavy rains, it said.
Taluka-wise, Bhiwandi reported 19 deaths, Ambernath-6, Kalyan-3 and one each was reported in Sahapur and Thane, the release said.
Besides, around 33 persons were injured in rain-related mishaps while nearly 110 houses got damaged, including 13 completely, during this monsoon, the release said.
