Jignesh Shah, Joseph Massey grilled by EOW for three hours
The economic offences wing of Mumbai on Monday grilled Joseph Massey, and Jignesh Shah for around two hours regarding the 5600 crore NSEL scam.

Mumbai: The economic offences wing of Mumbai on Monday grilled Joseph Massey, and Jignesh Shah for around two hours regarding the 5600 crore NSEL scam. Both of the directors met Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) Rajwardhan Sinha and Deputy Commissioner Of Police (EOW) Balsingh Rajput at Commissioner office in Mumbai.
However our sources at EOW have told us that it was more of an informal meeting as the EOW is still not done with its investigation of documents. EOW has told both the directors that they will be given a next date by the EOW for further questioning. EOW has not recorded the statements of both of them and will be doing that in the next meeting. But in the initial investigation both of the directors have claimed that they were not aware of the empty warehouses and came to know once the scam broke out. Regarding the fraud locations and directors of warehouses and defaulters both of them turned their fingers towards Anjani Sinha the former director of NSEL.
The Economic Offences Wing at Mumbai of Mumbai Police on 30th September lodged FIRs against the National Spot Exchange Ltd’s (NSEL) promoters including Jignesh Shah, the board of directors and key employees and are currently carrying out searches and raids in the offices and residences in 180 places across the country in connection with Rs 5,600 crore payment crisis. They have been charged with the cases of cheating, forgery and criminal breach of trust. Last month a 32-page preliminary inquiry (PE) report was submitted to EOW additional commissioner of police Rajvardhan Sinha, and it found that there were evidence of financial fraud at the commodity bourse promoted by Jignesh Shah-controlled financial technologies group.
