Babar Azam’s leadership saw Pakistan win 84 matches across all formats, making him the second-most successful captain in Pakistan’s history, just behind the legendary Imran Khan.  

With 6,739 runs as captain, Babar is second only to Misbah-ul-Haq in the list of Pakistan's highest run-scorers as captain, proving his consistency as both a leader and a player.  

Babar has the most centuries (15) by any Pakistan captain, setting a benchmark for future leaders with his impeccable batting performance under pressure.  

Babar Azam captained Pakistan in 84 T20I matches, winning 47 of them. His win percentage of 59.49% ranks him among the most successful captains in T20I history globally.  

Babar led Pakistan in six major ICC tournaments, including the ODI and T20 World Cups. His crowning achievement was taking Pakistan to the 2022 T20 World Cup final.  

Babar led Pakistan to 10 wins out of 16 T20 World Cup matches, including an iconic run to the 2022 final, though the team faltered in the group stages of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
