Mumbai: An Ola taxi driver was on Thursday assualted and robbed of his mobile phone and company cab by three assailants.

The incident took place on Thursday evening at Dhansar village of Raigar district of Maharashtra.


According to Hindustan Times report, the driver, identified as Bharat Kisan Rathod, was stopped by three men on a bike at Dhansar village while he was returning home after dropping off passengers.


The bikers threatened him with an iron rod and asked him to take a different route. They took him to a deserted area where they assaulted him with the rod.


The assailants snatched his mobile phone and drove away the cab after leaving him deserted on the road side.


Police have registered a case against three people.
