Yavatmal: Yavatmal Shiv Sena unit will celebrate the birth anniversary of its founder Balasaheb Thakeray and freedom fighter Netaji Subash Chandra Bose on January 23 by helping farm widows of the drought-hit district.

As many as 1,000 farm widows across the district would be given various items, which include around 600 sewing machines, party district chiefs, Vishwas Nandekar (Wani) and Santosh Dhawle (Yavatmal) told reporters here.


The distribution programme would be held at the local Postal ground on January 22 which will be attended by Shiv Sena Youth wing chief Aaditya Thakeray, state transport minister Divakarrao Raote, MP Anil Desai, Adesh Bandekar among others.


On January 23, a rally would be taken out from the local Helipad where over 20,000 Shiv Sainiks are expected to participate. Before the flag off of the rally, party workers will also take an oath.
