The incident took place at the Chandni Chowk station around noon on platform 1 which hosts trains proceeding to Huda City Centre, an official of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) told IANS.

"He was rushed to a hospital where he was said to be out of danger," he added.

The attempted suicide hit services on the Yellow Line, delaying trains plying between Huda City Centre at Gurgaon in Haryana and Samaypur Badli in north Delhi.
