BSP MPs said that the house should discuss the worsening law and order situation in UP, as is evident by the Budaun rape case.
The MPs stormed in to the well of the house and started shouting slogans. “UP pe charch karo” they said to impress upon the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Vice President Hamid Ansari, of the need to take up the matter urgently.

The Rajya Sabha was scheduled to hold a discussion on the Motion of Thanks to President for his speech during the joint session of Parliament yesterday. However, given the protest by BSP MPs, Ansari was forced to adjourn the house. Lok Sabha will also discuss the Motion of Thanks. But the BSP having no MP in the lower house ensured that the proceeding began smoothly after the house paid respect to the victims of the Mandi tragedy.
