New Delhi: It was a huge celebration for social networking giant Facebook’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, when he acquired the image-sharing app Instagram in April, 2012.

With 400 million active users worldwide, as of September 2015, Instagram has been cashing in on its larger than life membership, which includes the world's biggest celebrities.


Now, Mark Zuckerberg, who's an active user himself, has a new reason to be happy! In a post on his Facebook account, Zuckerberg revealed that Instagram's user base has gone up to 500 million per month, with 300 million people using it everyday.


Now, that's a whopping number!


In his post, Mark Zuckerberg thanked all the Instagram users through a wonderful pic! He wrote, “More than 500 million people now use Instagram every month -- and 300 million every day. The Instagram community has more than doubled over the past two years. This is a tribute to Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger's vision, and to people everywhere who have opened a window into their world -- from big events to everyday moments. Thanks for making Instagram such a beautiful place.”
