The move comes days after the apex court agreed to hear Congress' plea against Centre's recommendation of President's Rule in Arunachal Pradesh on January 27.

The order came after the Congress party moved Supreme Court against the Union Cabinet's decision and appealed it to quash the move.

Tuki had also yesterday expressed confidence that he could prove his majority in the state Assembly.

"Of course, we can prove our majority in the House," he had tweeted.

After intense consultations for more than two days, President Pranab Mukherjee had given his assent to the Union Cabinet's recommendation, accepting that there was a "constitutional breakdown" in the state.

The decision, however, came under strong attack from Congress and other parties which called it "murder" of democracy.
