Bhubaneswar: With a large number of teaching posts laying vacant in different schools across Odisha, the state government has decided to conduct Odisha Secondary School Teachers' Eligibility Test (OSSTET) for recruitment of high school teachers.

This was stated by School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra here today.


He said the state government has formulated guidelines for OSSTET which would be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).


Mishra said the Board will prepare procedure by November this year to conduct the recruitment test.


Approximately, 7,000 posts for teachers will be filled up by the state government in a phased manner, Mishra indicated.
