Three people charred to death as car catches fire
Three members of a family were among four persons who were charred to death when a car in which they were travelling caught fire after hitting a tree on Ambala-Barara road, police said here.

The car, running on gas, immediately caught fire after it hit the tree last night, they said.
The victims were identified as Vijay Singla (60) of Sharda Nagar, Saharanpur, his wife Anita (55), the couple`s son Gurudutt (21) and the youth`s friend Amit Pandey (20). All the four were on their way to Saharanpur after attending a marriage function at Panchkula, police said, adding the bodies were sent to MM Medical College at Mullana, near Ambala, for the postmortem examination.
