Jaipur: Shortly after a massive earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale rocked Pakistan and the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border on Sunday afternoon, strong tremors were felt in many parts of North India including Delhi and Rajasthan, forcing people to flee their homes.

However, there are no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to property yet.


 


As per initial reports, strong tremors were also felt in Chandigarh, Srinagar and Kabul.


According to the National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of earthquake is in Hindukush mountain range, 282 km North East of Kabul in Afghanistan.


In October last year, over 200 people were killed as a strong earthquake jolted Pakistan and Afghanistan.
