New Delhi: Google celebrates the beginning of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 with a colourful doodle on Friday.

The doodle shows an umpire, bowler, batsmen, a fielder and a wicket keeper, featuring at the top of the search engine's home page.


The first letter of the doodle 'G' shows an umpire in blue signalling the fall of a wicket. The second letter 'O' shows a bowler in red, the third 'O' shows a batsman in yellow stepping ahead to play the shot.


The fourth letter 'G' shows another batsman in different shades of blue as he plays a hook shot. The fifth letter 'L' shows the fielder diving to take a catch.


The last letter ‘E’ shows a wicket keeper in red who is standing close to the stumps.


On the opening day of the World Cup, New Zealand and Australia will face Sri Lanka and England respectively.


Followed by the most awaited match between India and Pakistan at Adelaide on Sunday, February 15.
