New Delhi: Who knew that a young and aspiring photographer will capture such an image which even the stalwarts couldn't bring us. That's true.

A wildlife photographer spotted a white bird near Port Blair jetty and unknowingly clicked a picture. It did did not strike him at all that the image he had captured in his camera lens was that of a white-tailed tropicbird, also know as (Phaethon lepturus), which is rarely found in India.

White-tailed tropicbirds have very long central tail feathers usually with black bands on the wings and a yellowish beak. This one also had a similar appearance and are very uncommon in India.

These birds have not been seen since the 19th century and are also referred to as Indian rarities.
