Anti-Taliban peace committee member shot dead in Pakistan
Unidentified gunmen today shot dead a member of anti-Taliban peace committee in northwestern Pakistan`s Swat district.
Peshawar: Unidentified gunmen today shot dead a member of anti-Taliban peace committee in northwestern Pakistan's Swat district.
Peace committee member, Sadullah Khan, was shot dead early this morning in Sher Palam area of Khyber Pakthunkhwa where peace committee members frequently come under attack by the militants.
Curfew has been imposed in the area to nab the attackers, police said.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had challenged government writ in Swat during insurgency in 2009 and were flushed out by the security forces after operation in the district.
