Delhi: Even as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday vowed to trace the 'roots' of the culprits who supplied weapons and explosives to the terrorists who killed 20 people, mostly foreigners, in a barbaric attack on Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka, some of the details that are unfolding have been chilling to say the least.

As per media reports, one of the slain terrorists, Nibras Islam, was an educated young boy who came from an affluent family.

He was reportedly brainwashed by terrorists to carry out the terror attack in the name of Islam.

Videos and photos that are doing the rounds of the young boy show him as sophisticated and speaking good English.

Nibras was supposedly missing since January this year. He is said to have been a former student of the International Turkish Hopes school in Dhaka and was identified by his former classmates of North South University.

His Twitter account seems to have been inactive for a while. The last tweet that he posted was around December 2014.

Goodbye for good.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said today that the jihadists were members of Jamaeytul Mujahdeen Bangladesh, a homegrown Bangladeshi militant outfit, and not followers of the Islamic State group (ISIS).

Seven Japanese nationals were among the 20 hostages who were brutally murdered during the chilling siege before the commandoes stormed the popular hangout in Dhaka's diplomatic zone.

Thirteen hostages were rescued while six of the gunmen, who attacked the upscale eatery on Friday night, were killed in the Army-led operation.
