Kathmandu: Four earthquakes of moderate intensity have jolted Nepal but no damage was reported.

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck Dolakha district, 110 kilometres east of capital Kathmandu, early on Sunday while another tremor of 3.8 magnitude rocked Kathmandu at 3.40 pm, according to the National Seismological Centre.


Two more quakes were recorded yesterday.


A 4.5 magnitude earthquake shook Taplejgunj district, some 300 kilometres east of Kathmandu, yesterday morning while another 4.1 magnitude quake jolted Dolakha later in the day.


A total of 479 aftershocks of 4 or more magnitude have been recorded since a massive earthquake devastated the Himalayan nation in April that killed about 9,000 people.
