With the intervention of Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka, officials of Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi cleared all legal problems and got the fishermen released from a prison in Bangladesh where they were lodged after their boat drifted away to the neighbouring country due to bad weather in June, Additional Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Bhavan, Arja Srikanth said.

"Their boat was repaired. They left Bangladesh coast yesterday morning escorted by Bangladesh Coast Guard and finally reached today at Namkana international border. They are in our waters and heading towards Kolkata," a statement issued by the AP government said.

East Godavari Collector Arun Kumar said a court in Bangladesh had a few days back ordered their release and the Indian Mission in Dhaka supervised their travel arrangements.
