New Delhi: It seems FIFA World Cup mania has gripped not just fans on the Earth but also in the space.
The mega event kicked off in style on June 13 with the opening match held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but it seems even fans in the outer world, miles above the Earth at the International Space Station (ISS), are not untouched with its frenzy. NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman and Steve Swanson and ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst of Germany are watching the 2014 FIFA World Cup action on the International Space Station via a stream set up aboard the station. According to NASA, the enthusiastic astronauts take a break to watch 10 minutes of match live.
The ISS crew had earlier sent their best wishes to all the teams locking horns in World Cup 2014.
