Bangkok: A mysterious fireball was spotted blazing through the northern sky of Bangkok on Monday leaving a trail of smoke and busy commuters perplexed.

According to report, the event took place during the morning rush hour at about 8:45am local time in Bangkok, the Thai capital.


Soon, videos began emerging almost immediately on YouTube - where the burning object is seen streaking across the sky for a few seconds as it burns up in the blue morning sky.



The video was posted from the Nonthaburi area in Thailand by a person named Porjai Jaturongkhakun.


So far, there has been no official confirmation of what caused the fireball.


Meanwhile, an official at the Bangkok Planetarium was quoted as saying to Bangkok Post that there were no reports of a meteorite landing.
