It`s no sci-fi! Falling meteorite kills man in Tamil Nadu

Kamraj was extremely unlucky to become a victim of a falling meteorite.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief J Jayalalithaa has confirmed that the death of man at the premises of a private engineering college in Vellore was caused by a meteorite.

Kamraj, who worked as diver, would have been very unlucky last Saturday, as he became victim to a falling meteorite – an extremely rare event.

Three others were injured in the incident which was initially probed form the terror angle as the falling meteor had caused an explosion which damaged many glass planes of the college buildings, and created a small crater near the building complex.

It was after a senior scientist from National Physical Laboratory visited the campus that a meteor was found to be behind the tragic incident.
