BJP MLA from Sardhana Assembly, Som was addressing the public on the occasion of Dussehra when targetted Azam Khan in his speech and said that the senior Samajwadi Party leader has misused his power to accumulate wealth and used it in Jauhar University (It is to be noted that Azam Khan is the chancellor of Jauhar University, a private university established in Rampur).

"Azam, who had gone to the extent of calling 'Bharatmata' a 'dayan' (witch), must be dreaming of becoming country's Prime Minister. I urge everybody that we must unite together to show such people their status.

Som, who was in Mainpuri to attend the procession of Maharaja Tej Singh, said, "Azam is known to make jokes and offend our sisters and mothers. The SP minister who has often expressed fear for his life, is in fact, a threat to our motherland. "

On the occasion of Vijay Dashmi, we must take a pledge to uproot Ravana which is prevailing in the form of corruption and nepotism," Som asserted in an apparent reference to a practice followed by Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
