Lucknow: The owner of a major restaurant chain here was critically wounded after unidentified assailants opened fire on him late on Friday, police said on Saturday.

Bobby Khanna, the owner of Riyz Continental, was shot at in front of his Mahanagar house while he was heading home from his restaurant nearby.

He has received gun shot wounds in the chest, face and stomach.

Doctors at the trauma centre, where he was rushed to by neighbours, told IANS that his condition was critical.

In the initial probe, the incident seems to be a result of a property dispute, an investigating officer said.
