“We will fight the upcoming elections unitedly and I am confident our party will once again form the government in 2017 in the state,” Yadav told reporters.

Asserting that there is no communication gap in the party, he said, “We'll follow the orders of Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), I've been made the state chief and I will do my job. No one can challenge his decision.”

Asked if Akhilesh Yadav would again be the CM candidate in the 2017 elections, Yadav said, “Will accept whatever netaji (Mulayam Singh) decides. Whoever is given responsibility, whatever it be..we have to follow that.”

Replying to a question on why his cabinet portfolios were taken away by the chief minister, he said, “I had no clue about the portfolios taken away from me. This is a decision taken by the CM and also Netaji.”

“I will not contest CM's decision. Allocating portfolios is his prerogative,” Yadav said at a press conference.

“Whenever I sought an appointment with CM Akhilesh, I got it. I didn't know that I would be made state president so soon,” Yadav said.

Exuding confidence that his party would win the upcoming state elections, he said, “Netaji has given me a responsibility. And I accept that. Netaji took that decision carefully and after consideration surely.”

“This is the time to stand all of us united, nobody can challenge Mulayam's decision: Shivpal Yadav

Referring to Amar Singh's alleged role in creating tensions within the party, he said, “Amar Singh has already denied he has any role in the crisis.”

“No one is big or small in the party but people become big through their work.

Everybody can't have the same ideology in a party,” he added.
