The CBI had earlier in the day summoned Yadav for questioning in a disproportionate assets case.

The agency had registered a case against Yadav Singh under Sections 409, 420, 466, 467, 469, 481 and under Prevention of Corruption Act.

Last December, the CBI had arrested Assistant Project Engineer, Noida, Ramendra in connection with the alleged corruption case.

Ramendra used to directly report to Singh and allegedly maintained a diary in which meticulous details of the alleged bribe collected from builders and contractors were maintained and how these funds were distributed among officials of Noida.

CBI had registered a case against Yadav Singh on allegations of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act against him.

There is also a second case of allegedly amassing disproportionate assets.

Yadav Singh is believed to have been handling projects worth Rs 8,000 crore in Noida and was also made chief of the Yamuna Expressway project for a brief period by the Uttar Pradesh government.
