Eight-year-old raped in Uttar Pradesh

Bareilly: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Meerganj area, police said here on Tuesday.

The the minor was lured by the accused and taken to a jungle and raped yesterday.

The girl was taken to a community health centre from where she was referred to the district hospital, Senior Superintendent of Police RK Bharadwaj said.

Her condition is stated to be serious, he said.
