Kanpur: Some controversial posters have now appeared in the Kanpur city, which are likely to add fuel to the ongoing debate on nationalism.
As per ANI, the posters,which allegedly belong to the ruling BJP, read “Bharat mein rehna hai to Bharat Mata ji jai kehna hai' (if you have to live in India, you have to say Bharat Mata Ki Jai).
The posters which also feature pictures of PM Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior party leaders on top can be seen pasted on walls and pillars across the city.
BJP has recently adopted a political resolution at its BJP National Executive which said, 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' was a mantra of inspiration during the independence struggle.
It further emphasised that freedom of expression did not mean a right to seek the country's destruction.
However, the Opposition has slammed BJP for pushing its Hindutva agenda on others.
