Taking on Narendra Modi, Khan said: “Prime Minister, please rein in your volunteers. Life, politics and posts are not forever but infamy remains forever. You have not been able to wipe out Gujarat taint and until this world lives, it will never be wiped out. Don’t make your volunteers do these things. Where are you taking the country to?”.

The Uttar Pradesh government has given Rs 10 lakh as ex-gratia to the family of the Muslim man from Bisada village village who was killed by a mob for allegedly eating beef on Monday midnight.

Police said a case was registered against 10 people, of whom six have been arrested.

The UP government has also ordered free treatment of the injured members of the man's family who were admitted to a private hospital in Noida.
