The video of the SP leader in Bijnor district has gone viral on the social media.

The video shows Rajeev Kumar blatantly telling a government official that the Brahmins should leave UP and migrate to Modi's Ahmedabad.

Without mincing his words, the SP leader further says that the Brahmins will be driven out of UP as Kashmiri Pandits were made to leave Jammu and Kashmir.

He is further heard saying that Brahmins are bribe-takers.

Such controversial statements can dent Akhilesh Yadav-led government's image ahead of Assembly elections, wherer factors like caste and religion play an important role.

According to Patrika.com, the visiting card of Rajeev Kumar reads: Rajeev Kumar Yadav, Sainik Prakoshth Prabhari Samajwadi Party, Distt, Bijnor.

The high-voltage Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are a litmus test for the major political parties Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress.

Notably, the BJP had won on 71 out of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in 2014. Congress won two, SP five and Mayawati's BSP failed to open its account.
