Gurgaon: Uttarakhand BJP legislators, along with some Congress rebel MLAs who are camping in a Gurgaon hotel, are likely to meet the BJP leadership to chalk out the strategy for taking a shot at power in the state.
Senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, who is here with the BJP MLAs, Saturday expressed confidence that his party will form the government in Uttarakhand, saying the Harish Rawat government no longer enjoys majority in the state assembly.
He said, along with nine Congress rebel MLAs, the BJP has clear majority in the 70-member assembly and will comfortably form the new government.
Besides its 36 MLAs, Congress has the support of six members of the Progressive Democratic Front. BJP has 28 MLAs in Uttarakhand.
